Sarah Palin And The Wasilla Hillbillies
-
I just can’t get enough of Sarah Palin and her lack of suitability for office. In the flurry of briefings from furious McCain staffers it has been revealed that she did not know Africa was a continent, thinking it a single country.

Sarah Palin: the political car crashWhat she did know was how to spend $150,000 of campaign funds on clothes for her and her family.
So, quote of the week comes from a McCain aide describing Palin and her aides from her home town and their sprees in the famous US department store: “It was Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast”
‘Sarah Palin and Wasilla hillbillies’ has a great ring; it sounds like a struggling country combo which plays numbers by Hank Williams and Bob Wills at a roadside bar outside Nashville. Who knows, that’s what Palin might end up doing. Stranger things have happened in America.
More seriously she’s a political car crash, a disaster for the Republicans who rates herself very highly and will be a dead weight around the party’s neck unless the McCain team, in collaboration with the Republican establishment, can trash her quickly enough to kill her career. Which is what they’re trying to do now. Good luck, I don’t think she’s going to give up without a fight.

Ever since Palin was introduced as McCain’s running mate I
have been trying to understand how someone so out of touch
with reality could have gotten as far as governor of Alaska
let alone be asked to take the number two spot in our
executive branch.
I am still amazed at her evasion of Katie Couric’s simple
question about what magazines and papers she reads regularly.
And now we find out that she doesn’t know a continent from
a single country.
