In a recent press function, President Elect Barack Obama issued a stern warning to reporters in attendance about the possibilities of shoes being thrown at him. Tension were high among the press corps, as Secret Service Agents inspected all shoes being worn on the feet of the reporters in attendance.

These inspection were met with mild hostility, with one reporter from the Tupelo Mississippi Herald claiming, “Do they think we are in Iraq?”

The press conference concluded without incident, with Barack Obama taking questions. Strangely no questions about the conflict between Hamas and Israel being asked.
